Wow, it's been nearly a year since I last updated. Again. At this point it's just easier to say what I have in this version of the game instead of what's changed from the last.
- Five stages showing all stage layouts.
- A basic enemy. I will have a bigger version of this guy as a boss.
Believe me, it'll be more interesting than I just made it sound. - Scoring system with bonuses based on power-ups collected and lives remaining.
I plan to have a high score system implemented in either the next build or the one after. - Five brick types: Normal brick, half-sized brick, quarter-sized brick, steel (indestructible) brick, and crunchy brick.
- Ten power-ups: Paddle Extend, Paddle Shrink, Speed Up, Speed Down, Ball Magnet, Laser, Multi-Ball, Barrier, UnstoppaBall, and 1-Up.
- A pause menu. Feel free to laugh, but it was a pain in the ass.
- Stage selection menu. I plan to have this updated to have "pages" when I have more stages.
- A settings menu that allows the user to change the screen size, enable/disable full screen, and change sound and music volumes. Customizable controls will come in a future update.
- All menus have icons to (hopefully) allow those that can't read English to navigate them.
Here's hoping my next update will be much, much sooner. I've actually thought about making Devlog posts just so this page has some content. Or at least get my thoughts out there.
